Meet our girls

We currently have seven beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with at least one of each colour who are all part of our loving family. Our dogs live with us in our home and are treated as our family pets and each have their own unique personalities.
Health Checks

All of our girls and their chosen Kennel Club studs are fully health checked, have clear Green result Doppler Heart scans, clear results for BVA eye tests and DNA clear for EF, CC and DE as well as low COI%

Below is an explanation of each of these tests to help you understand their importance and why you should avoid untested dogs.
DNA Test
We carry out a DNA Test on all of our girls to test if they carry the Curly Coat (CC), Dry Eye (DE) and Episodic Falling (EF) genes as they can cause issues such as dry and flaky skin, a curly coat, no production of tears and a neurological issue where your dogs muscles lock and they fall over.
All of our girls are CC, DE and EF Clear.
Doppler Heart Scan
Another health check that our dogs undergo is Doppler Heart Scan by a Cardiologist. This scan is used to diagnose heart murmurs and other cardiovascular disorders. The scan specifically looks for Mitral Valve disease (MVD) which is the degeneration of the heart's mitral valve.
All girls have a green result for their Doppler heart scan.
BVA Eye Test
The BVA eye test is a clinical exam carried out at a specialised Ophthalmology clinic that identifies inherited and non-inherited eye conditions in dogs. Including Hereditary cataract (HC) and Multifocal retinal dysplasia (MRD)
The results of this test provide evidence of clear breeding lines and healthy eyes reducing the risk of issues later in life.
All girls have a clear BVA eye test.
Coefficient Of Inbreeding Test
The Coefficient Of Inbreeding (COI) test is carried out to test the percentage that the Mum and Dad are interbreed. Interbreeding can result in genetic defects, inherited disorders, and inbreeding depression in offspring.
The average COI for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels is around 5.5%
and we are very pleased to say that all of our litters fall below this average therefore avoiding the issues mentioned above.

Get to know us and our passion for dogs
Hi there, I am Michelle and with my partner Andy, we run our Cavalier King Charles spaniel breeding business from our spacious home set in woodland within the small Warwickshire village of Old Arley. Our house is an ideal setting as we have lots of outdoor and indoor space including our extended five bedroom house, large secure grass gardens, paddock and a woodchipped play area with numerous enrichment opportunities. We have direct access to beautiful woodland from our garden for our daily walks with our dogs.

Both Andy and I have many years experience caring and breeding and our family includes two teenagers who share our passion and together we provide a very balanced, loving, family approach to our care. Our qualifications include Canine First Aid, Animal Microchipping and Ultrasound scanning, Canine communication, caring for dogs with joint disease, common drugs and supplements, canine anxiety, preventative healthcare, dog boarding and breeding and canine behaviour.
Our girls have produced some stunning litters of the last few years, including a few puppies that we have kept to add to our pack.
Andy's background is in Visual Graphics and videography with his business called Colour Bar Productions and my background is in teaching for seventeen years. We both fostered youngsters for seven years and have always owned a dog since we were children. We have often used our family dogs as therapy dogs both at school and within fostering which proved to highlight the relationship and communication between humans and dogs as a magical experience with many therapeutic benefits.
We also run a doggy daycare and boarding service called Pawesomek9 from our home where we welcome visiting dogs into our loving family home to provide care when their owners are either at work or on holiday. To find out more please click the link below.

Your Puppy Journey with Pawesomek9 Puppies
1 / Getting in touch
The first step on your puppy journey is when you get in touch with us to find out if any litters are available. After discussing your preferences and if we feel you are suitable, we will add you onto one of our waiting lists.
2 / Whatsapp Litter group
Closer to the time of delivery I will add you onto our Whatsapp litter group where you can meet the other new owners and I can keep you updated on progress of the pregnancy and the development of your puppy. Then when the whelping day arrives I will share with you the sex and colour of the puppies as they arrive with lots of photos and videos.
3 / Choosing your puppy
When you have chosen your puppy we ask you to pay a non-refundable deposit of £500 which will hold your puppy for you. You will then continue to get regular updates on Whatsapp of milestones reached, weights, vaccinations and microchipping and suggested equipment to buy, food to supply etc This will help you prepare for you bringing your puppy home for the first time.
4 / Visiting your puppy
We will make sure that you have the opportunity to visit your puppy at our house and see him/her with their Mum to discuss any queries you may have and of course have lots of cuddles. We ask that you bring with you a blanket or item of clothing that you have slept with which will have your scent on so we can use it when snuggling your puppy to help them familiarise themselves with your scent.
5 / Bringing your puppy home
When the pick up day finally arrives we will arrange a time for you to come and collect your puppy. We will go through our puppy pack with you and discuss any queries you may have. The final balance owed for your puppy is due to be paid 24 hours before collection.
Then let the fun begin with the next chapter of your puppy's life and remember we are always here providing you support for the lifetime of your puppy.

From the minute we first enquired about her availability of a spaniel to even now nearly a week after we have collected him they have been extremely professional. Pawesomek9 Michelle is a breeder you can one hundred percent trust!! Puppies are whelped in home surrounded by love from the moment they're born. Upon choosing my puppy I was added to a Whatsapp group with the other puppy owners from the same litter. We had updates all the time with pictures, videos and weight charts each week which was very reassuring and great to be part of. Before collection date pups were microchipped, vaccinated and fully health checked and pup owners are still in contact on the group sharing tips and tricks and with Michelle answering any queries we have. Michelle is such a lovely dog mum she has a passion for strong healthy dogs and is full of knowledge. Thank you so much.

Michelle and Andy are great breeders. They are really caring with the dogs and the puppies and clearly love their job. We were able to visit and see where our puppies were cared for with Mum. As a result of living in a home with other dogs our puppy was already well socialised by the time he was allowed out for walks. The pick up date was flexible and a few weeks pet insurance and microchipping included. We love our dog and he loves going back to visit his mum. We would recommend getting a puppy from Michelle and Andy.
